Brittany Nicole Shell, 22

Brittany Nicole Shell, 22, of Rutherfordton, went home to be with her brother, Bryson, June 22, 2015.

A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of Greg and Marie Shell of Morganton and Julie Teague Shell and fiancé Kevin Davis of Forest City. She cherished her children and family. Brittany's hobbies were writing poems, four wheeling, and mudding. Brittany was a caring, compassionate, awesome sister and loving aunt. She preferred to go barefooted and could light up any room she walked into just by her smile and bright eyes. She also loved dogs.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her children, Clayton Lee "Claybug" and Madison Nicole "Maddie" Shell of Forest City; sisters Rebecca Shell, Miranda Henderson of Morganton, Chasity Henderson and husband Brent Matheny of Forest City; brothers, Buddy Shell, Gregory Shell and wife Nikki, Joseph Shell, Jay Henderson and wife Aleshia and Raye Shell all of Morganton; grandparents, Wilam Smith of Morganton, Rev. Chuck and Joyce Poole of Kings Mountain. She is also survived by nieces Selena Matheny, Destiny Henderson, Savannah Shell, Riley Matheny, Mirah Shell, Sydney Shell; nephews Elijah Matheny, Tony Matheny, Colt Shell, Bobby Shell; many cousins; aunts Amy Stott, Teresa Teague, Diane Smith, Chrissy Stalling, Crystal Wakeford; uncle Doug Teague. In addition to her brother, Brittany was preceded in death by her grandparents, Builo Baynard, Peggy Teague, Buddy Shell, Granny Raye, Lucy Luckadoo and niece Mackenzie Henderson.

Funeral services were held at Souls Harbor Tabernacle with Reverend Chuck Poole and Reverend Gregg Shell officiating. Interment followed in the Vein Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery at Marion.
