The presentation of our flag... the military uniforms proudly worn... the speeches spoken... the crowd that gathered to listen... all a part of a ceremony honoring those who gave the supreme sacrifice for our nation.
One day, each year, we take the time to remember. It is as if we are listening to all those who seemingly speak from their graves. We salute them. The respectful silence that falls over the event embraces our time and place. We are filled with emotion. Some have tears flowing down their cheeks. We are thankful. We are grateful. Some remember a member of their family who gave of themselves.
