| R-S Girls, East Boys End Dream Seasons in Elite Eight It was tough ending for Rutherford County hoops in the Regionals this past week.
R-S Central’s girls, under the direction of Darius Fuller made a great effort in Greensboro, but lost to Hickory 62-56, last Tuesday. The Lady Hilltoppers proved that they indeed were for real this season in the 3A ranks, but nine more made free throws by Hickory sent R-S Central (25-3) home two rounds shy of a state title. | Outdoor Truths I recall my first trip to the turkey woods. I was blessed to be able to go with one of the local experts. I didn’t know what to expect, but that didn’t quell the excitement. As usual I got very little sleep the night before and was up early enough to make sure I wouldn’t be late for my appointment. We traveled about 50 minutes before arriving at the bottom of the mountain. My guide said “watch this” and he slammed the door of his truck.
