Alfred "Bud" Harmon, age 92

Alfred "Bud" Harmon, age 92, of Forest City, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019.

He was born November 4, 1926 in Rutherford County, to the late George Thomas Harmon and Nanny Mason Harmon. He was a graduate of Cliffside High School, class of 1945. Bud served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II. He worked as a master mechanic at Cone Mill-Cliffside Plant for thirty-five years before retirement. Bud was a longtime member of Floyd's Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-six years, Flossie Cash Harmon; seven brothers and five sisters.

Those left to cherish his memory include one son, Phillip Harmon of Cliffside; four grandchildren.

The funeral service was conducted at Floyd's Creek Baptist Church. Interment followed in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.

Memorial donations are requested to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, P.O. Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.

Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.
