Alma Franklin Greene, age 95

Alma Franklin Greene, age 95 passed away Tues., December 30, 2014.  

Alma was born July 28, 1919 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Easom & Charlotte Messer Franklin.  She worked Fieldcrest/Cannon Company where she retired from the weaving department. 

She was also a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church & was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Greene in 1985, a son, Bill Green, a daughter, Ann Lancaster as well as her brothers, William, Phillip, & Albert, & sisters, Bessie, Nora, Pearl, Zannie, & Mamie.

Survivors include her daughter, Jean Abee & husband Clifford of Morganton, daughter-in-law, Mickey Green of Forest City.

Funeral services were held at The Padgett and King Chapel with Reverend Kevin Rohm officiating.  Interment was privately held by the family in the Cool Springs Cemetery.
