Amanda B. Waters, age 87

Amanda B. Waters, age 87, of Ellenboro, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018.

Born January 9, 1931 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Walter Bates Chivous Baynard and Katherine Melton Baynard. She worked for Burlington Industries and Cone Mill-Avondale Plant most of her life before retiring. Amanda attended Caroleen Missionary Methodist Church and enjoyed country music and growing plants. She was known by all of her family and friends for ability to make delicious gravy.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Linda Craft and husband, David of Ellenboro and Debra Haulk of Bostic; five grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, She also survived by a nephew, Bobby Baynard and niece, Beverly Pruett.

A memorial service was conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. Rev Sam Henderson and Rev Joseph Dutton officiated.
