Anne Humphries Guffey, 77, of Shelby, passed away Sun. Feb. 5, 2012.
A native of Rutherford County, she was born on July 6, 1934, a daughter of the late Charlie Clyde Humphries and Vennie Harriet Humphries.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-mother, Lula Mae Goode Humphries; her husband, David Stephen Guffey; one son, Mitchell Todd Guffey; one step-brother, Bob Norris Goode. She is survived by one grandson, Christopher Guffey; one granddaughter, Mariah Guffey; two sisters, Sue Farr and husband Tommy of Forest City and Kay Nichols of Spindale; one sister-in-law, Eloise Goode; two brothers-in-law, Jim Guffey and wife Pat and Mickey Guffey and wife Janice; one daughter-in-law, Laura Early Guffey; her mother-in-law, Marie Guffey; her aunt, Effie McCraw; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at Cliffside Baptist Church.
