Annette Hendrix, age 76, of Forest City

Annette Hendrix, age 76, of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018.

Born June 16, 1942 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter to the late Theodore Johnson and Mattie Goode Johnson. Annette worked for Broyhill Mfg., Master Craft and Stonecutter Mills for many years. Most recently she was a custodian at R-S Central High School. She was the last living charter member of Danieltown Baptist Church and was the founder and a participant of the Forest City Cloggers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Sarah Funderburke, Mary Sue Ford, Virginia Morgan and two brothers, William Johnson and Edward Johnson.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of fifty-six years, Garland Hendrix; daughter, Tammy Anderson and husband, Tony of Forest City; two brothers, Gary Johnson and wife, Peggy of Harris and Doug Johnson and wife, Donice of Cliffside; one sister, Rita Helton and husband, Hicks of Cliffside. She is also survived by a granddaughter, and three great grandchildren.

A graveside service was conducted at the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
