Annie Belle King Lovelace, 88

Annie Belle King Lovelace, 88, of Rutherfordton, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017.

Born in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Clifton King and Bertha Willis King and widow of the late Ralph Odelle Lovelace. She was a seamstress for many years in the textile industry, and was a member of Adaville Baptist Church. Annie loved gardening and working in her flower gardens. She also loved to crochet, read and was a very big supporter of education and higher learning.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ann Head and husband Ray, of Rutherfordton; a grandson; a granddaughter; a great grandson; a brother, Dock King and a number of nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by brothers, FA King, JC King and Howard King, and a sister, Pauline Lovelace.

The funeral service was held in the Padgett & King Chapel. Interment followed in the Walls Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, P.O. Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043, Adaville Baptist Church Building Fund, 805 Oakland Road, Spindale, NC 28160 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
