Believe It! Thomas Jefferson Football is 2-0

On one end of Thomas Jefferson’s football field Friday night, a sign in white letters said: Just Believe!

Granted Andrews is a 1A school as well, the Wildcats went 8-5 last year, but in perspective are not a world beater. Thomas Jefferson lost by 39 to the same club a year ago, but things change. Andrews is a younger team with less than 30 kids this season, while TJ has 35 kids and the most experienced group they have had in the program.

Who’s winning your race?

I coach a lot of business people about various aspects of their lives and businesses. A lot of them think of life as a rat race.

Maybe you do, too. You think of yourself as in a race with other rats, running around a track or a maze for whatever your cheese is, convinced there’s not enough of it to go around.

Outdoor Truths
I was blessed in my early adult years to work in the mountains. I was on a core drill crew. Our job was to drill a hole deep within the ground in order to find out what strata laid below. I literally spent a few years getting up every morning and going to work surrounded by nature. I learned a lot about trees, plants and animals from those who had spent their lives in these places. Those are still some of the very best memories of my life.
