As I have found over the years and it might be a shock to some, but there are a good number of people from the area, who go up to the Martinsville Speedway at least once a year. I continue to spread the message for the Martinsville since they are the smallest venue on the NASCAR circuit and the short track racing doesn’t get any better than in Henry County, Virginia.

The Forest City Owls Baseball Club announced today the hiring of Breynna Winkler as the Director of Ticket Sales & Community Relations. 

The Director of Ticket Sales & Community Relations will have an active role in the community and work with non-profits, youth sports teams and groups of all sizes as well as putting on events and fundraisers at the stadium and throughout Rutherford County.

   I’m trying to figure out something again today.  Maybe you can help me.  I’m trying to understand how we misunderstand each other so easily.

   I was in 8th grade and Mr. Daughtry was my Earth Science teacher.  I remember him talking about astronomy one day and at the time I had a telescope.  So as he talked about a celestial body, I remember him mentioning some of the distinctive features of it.  I raised my hand and said, “Can you see it with a telescope?”

If I could just get my grass to stop growing until June, then I’d be fine. But then, there’s the carport and the other outside maintenance that is calling my name as well.
