As the saying goes, “farmers love rain”. On Saturday, May 18th, it rained and rained. It must have been a good sign for the very first annual Chase FFA Alumni Farm Day. The event went on in spite of the rain. Dedicated and determined, rain coats, umbrellas and boots were the order of the day.

No doubt, it was an emotional week for East Rutherford following the sudden loss of a young life in Matt Lail and the injured C.J. Sappenfield by way of a car crash. Both graduated recently as Cavaliers and played sports during their time at East. Lail played football, while Sappenfield played baseball.

A friend recently turned 40 and her husband threw her a most excellent birthday party, complete with lots of friends and family, great food, wonderful music, and a slide show that covered all of her 40 years. After the slide show, he asked her if she wanted to say something, and she did.
