Moving on from Football After All-County Team Named

Well, here it is…my All-Rutherford County Football team selections for this season. While there were 160 varsity players or so this season, 40 make the cut (10 each team) as I had last year.

There are a few more kids that probably deserve to be on this list, but thank you all for a great football season.

New Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots Program

The good news about the Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots Program is that what used to be a regional program is now exclusively in Rutherford County. This means that for the first time all toys collected in Rutherford County stay in Rutherford County as opposed to being shared regionally.

Listen To Life
Dr. Joey Faucette
Listen To Life

What are you thankful for today?

It seems to me that a lot of the conversations I listen to are more about what people don’t like, what they don’t have, what they don’t agree with, etc., than about what they do like, what they do have, what they agree with and just generally what they’re thankful for.  Focusing on these negatives causes your mind and spirit to attract more of them.  When you focus on the positives, you discover more of them in your life.

So today, focus for a minute on what you’re thankful for.  I’m thankful today for:

My wife and daughters who love me as I am, good mood or when I’m Senor Cranky Pants, as my older daughter refers to me at times.

My parents with whom I’m spending most of this week and their loving sacrifices and investments in me when I was young.

My work team who give of themselves every single day to achieve outstanding results for our clients and customers who want to Work and Live Positive.

And I’m thankful to share this story with you today.  Thanks for listening to life with me!

Outdoor Truths
As a grandparent (I prefer poppy) I am excited about the time when I will have the opportunity to take my own grandchildren on their first hunting experiences. Until then, I am enjoying occasional opportunities to take other children, youth, and young adults into this wonderful world. I can honestly say I get as excited and nervous as they do just before they pull the trigger. I do, however, temper my celebration until we see the evidence of a well-placed shot lying on the ground. I then go nuts.
