So, here is a quick round up of High School basketball from this past week. All eight teams had just one game this week due to exams.

Madge Silvers Brookshire, age 81, of Forest City went to her Heavenly Reward on Wednesday, January 13, 1016.

Mr. Darrell Edward Campbell age 66 went to his reward on Thursday January 7th 2016 while being cared for at his home.

Mrs. Boyce Jeane Hawkins Toney age 71 of Hollis Road went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday January 12, 2016.

Rev. Welford (Tom) Ryan Leach, age 79, of Rutherfordton went home to be with the Lord on January 13, 2016.

Revonda Ellen Mace, 58 of Conway, SC passed away Friday, January 8, 2016.

Robert "Bob" Franklin Rhyne, age 82, a resident of Waltonwood Providence, Charlotte, NC, formerly a resident of River Hills Community in Lake Wylie, SC, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016.

Robert Tolhurst age 94, of Bostic NC passed away on Saturday January 16, 2016.

The cold weather was late getting here this year. Unseasonable warm weather was an understatement for December and early January has provided a long runway for the winter that is now in flight.
