As one of the longest running festivals in the area, MayFest has grown into one of the premier weekend destinations for locals and visitors alike. Artists and craftsmen proudly display their unique and one of a kind merchandise while live music, flavorful scents and children's laughter fill the air. Activities for all ages provide entertainment and fun filled moments for everyone.

Enrique Ramon Vega received the gift of life in Havana, Cuba on October 11, 1952, the year of the dragon. Over the course of his 65 years, Enrique breathed fire into everything he did, from forging beautiful objects from iron to exploring the universe through cinematography. He gave back his gift of life Saturday, April 14, 2018, in Rutherfordton, NC.
