Art Show Sept. 21-26 at The Foundation Performing Arts Center

Calling all artist and art lovers: Celebration of the Arts (COTA), a FREE juried art show returns to the Foundation at Isothermal Community College. A project of the Rutherford County Visual Artist Guild (RCVAG,) the show features 2D and 3D art by local and regional artist including paintings, photography, pottery, jewelry, wood, metal, glass, fiber, mixed media and more.

It is set for September 21-26, 2018 at The Foundation Performing Arts Center on the Spindale Campus of Isothermal Community College.

"This is the premier art event of the year and one you don't want to miss whether you are an artist or an art lover," says COTA Chairperson John McWhorter.

"We are returning to the Foundation this year which is a spectacular venue to showcase art and artists." McWhorter added, "his return to the Foundation has been made possible through the support of several organizations and their support also has made it possible to extend the show to five days."

Many local artists whose art is entered in the show will be around during the event and individuals can meet them and talk with them about their art. RCVAG docents and other volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and help for those who want purchase of one-of-a-kind art work.

In addition, a Gift Shop will offer other art and craft items created by members of the Guild and a Silent Auction will offer a variety of baskets, art, services and baskets of varied items to the highest bidder.
