Arthur Taylor, 72 of Union Mills, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2015.

A native of Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Edward Arthur Taylor and Helen Reed Taylor. Mr. Taylor retired after many years of service as an airline mechanic for US Airways and was a member and elder of Brittain Presbyterian Church. He loved trains and motorcycles and made many trips all over the US and Canada. Ed enjoyed HAM radio locally, was a member of the National Railway Historical Society-Clinchfield Chapter, was a member of the retired airline camping group and the retired railroad camping group.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Madden Taylor of the home; sons, Timothy Daniel Tylor and wife Tina of Pargin, IN, and Christopher Taylor of Atlanta, IN; step-sons, Dennis Barron and wife Amanda of Forest City, and Jason Barron and wife Angie of Brownsburg, IN; a step-sister, Judy Roades of Fort Mill, SC; grandchildren, Taylor Howell, Indeya Barron, Ben Taylor, Christine Taylor, Jake Taylor, and Gina Taylor, step-grandchildren, Kobe Hunter, Casey Hunter, Addison Hunter, Jacob Barron, and Blake Barron; and a great grandchild, Addalyn.

Funeral services were held in the Padgett & King Chapel. Interment followed the service in the Brittain Presbyterian Church Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, P.O. Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043 or the American Heart Association.
