A rare antique at the show was the 1910 Franklin, Model G, touring car.

The Vintage Tin Street Rod Association held its 16th annual car show at Rumbling Bald Resort on Lake Lure with over two hundred cars and participants from eight states. The states represented were North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, Tennessee, Florida, Kentucky and Alabama. Michael Blanton of Bostic, President of the association said: “It was our second biggest show we’ve ever had. However, this show was the best overall quality of cars we’ve ever seen.”

There were thirty five top awards as well as speciality awards presented. The response was great and turnout made it one of the best car shows ever seen in this part of the country.
