Barbara Ann Powell, age 75

Barbara Ann Powell, age 75, of Henrietta, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018.

Born December 15, 1942 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Otto Harris and Ellen Allred Harris. Barbara worked for Burlington Industries for almost forty years before retiring and was a member of Caroleen Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading and especially loved being with her family and having fun with them. She was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jerry Morrow, her second husband, Melvin Hamrick and a third husband, Jimmy Powell. She was also preceded by one sister, Carol Cobb.

Survivors include her daughter, Pam Ramsey (Charles) of Ellenboro; three sons, Perry Melton of Henrietta, Ken Melton (Teresa) of Yadkinville, NC and Jimmy Morrow (Carol) of Ellenboro; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren, Christopher Ramsey (Alicia), Ashley Patton (Bruce), Chad Grant (Julia) and Chris Grant (Alicia). She is also survived by twenty-one great-grandchildren, and many close friends.

The funeral service was conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. Rev Carl Ramsey officiated. Interment followed in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
