Barbara Ann Wilson Chambers, age 78

Barbara Ann Wilson Chambers, age 78, of Lake Lure, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018.

She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Grover Arthur Wilson and the late Nannie Sue Earley Wilson. She was a member of Bills Creek Baptist Church and taught Sunday School there for many years. She was a caregiver for many people for many years and was very independent, strong willed and extremely caring. She is preceded in death by four brothers; Bud, Tom, G.A. and Keith Wilson and by one son Kevin Lynn Chambers.

She is survived by: One Daughter: Sherry Michelle Lynn Chambers McDaniel and husband Joel James McDaniel Jr. of Lake Lure. Two Sons: Rufus T. Chambers, III "Toby" and wife Amy of Chapin, SC. Barry Gene Chambers of Little Mt., SC. Six grandchildren.

The funeral service was held at Bill's Creek Baptist Church. Rev Kenneth Hay officiated. Interment was held at Bill's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Lake Lure. Memorials may be made to Hospice of The Carolina Foothills at PO Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043.
