Barbara Byers, age 80

Barbara Byers, age 80, of Mooresboro, passed away December 20, 2015.

Born February 9, 1935 in Spartanburg County, SC she was a daughter of the late Leo Hill and Mazie Humphries Hill.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" Byers; brothers, Bobby Hill, Gerald Hill; sister, Brenda Scruggs; and a granddaughter.

Survivors include her sons, Matthew Byers and wife Shannon of Mooresboro, Randy Byers and wife Jeannie of Wasilla, Alaska; daughter, Beth Byers of Bostic; brother, Johnny Hill and wife Viola of Harris. She is also survived by nine grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at Hicks Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Don McIntyre and Reverend Raymond Byrd officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
