Barbara Ruth Suttles, age 59, passed away Friday, November 16, 2012. 

A native of Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Edna Hale Long. She worked in retail sales and was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters; Linda and Carol Dixon of Union Mills and a son, Brian Long of Union Mills; two brothers, Fred Long of Rochester, MN and Ted Haymen of Selahy, WA; three sisters, Katherine Hojanack of Lancaster, PA, Patricia Wadsworth of St. Paul, NE and Henrietta Bellows of St. Martinsville, LA.; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Memorial services were held at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with Dr. Scott Courtney officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
