She had a great desire that everyone would accept Christ as their Savior.

Those left to treasure her memory include her loving husband of fifty-nine years, Edward "Gene" Funchess; brother, Paul W. Cain and wife Dilys, who was the sister she never had, of Reno, NV; four sons, Tim Funchess (Elsa) of Carlsbad, NM, Lanny J. Funchess (Laura) of Cliffside, Danny Funchess (Mary Ann) of Forest City, and Howard Funchess (Mandy) of Albuquerque, NM; She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, two nieces, and many extended family and friends.

The funeral service was conducted at Faith Baptist Church. Burial followed in Carlsbad Cemetery with Paul Funchess, Daniel Funchess, Kent Funchess, Caleb Funchess, Chad Funchess, Carson Funchess, Jacob Reitz and Clay Carlson serving as pallbearers.
