Betty J. Waters, age 81

Betty J. Waters, age 81, of Mooresboro, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018.

Betty was born November 10, 1937 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Buford Henson and Ruby Hames Henson. She was a graduate of Harris High School, class of 1958 and worked at Sunshine Pre-School in Chesnee for twenty years. She was a member of Hicks Grove Baptist Church where she was a choir member and served in Vacation Bible School and Awanas. Betty loved taking pictures of her grandkids and crocheting. She was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Joe Henson and Rondle Henson and a sister, Vickie McKinney.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of fifty-eight years, Samuel Waters; two daughters, Lisa Starnes and husband, Timothy and Crystal Robbins all of Mooresboro; son, Jason Waters and wife, Jana of Mooresboro; sister, Barbara Gardner of Mooresboro and three brothers, Dewitt Henson and wife, Barbara of Chesnee, Gene Henson and Clyde Henson and wife, Shirley all of Mooresboro. She is also survived by five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was conducted at Hicks Grove Baptist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
