Betty Jean Hamrick Brooks, age 87

Betty Jean Hamrick Brooks, age 87, of Spindale, widow of the Rev. Nelson Brooks went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday February 5, 2017.

She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Carl and Marcelle Ball Hamrick and was a member of Gilkey Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons Benny Michael Brooks and his wife Rita of Gilkey; Charlie Don Brooks and his wife Debbie of Spindale; a brother Danny Hamrick of Bostic; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, and one great- great grandchild.

A service of celebration was held at Gilkey Baptist Church with the Rev. Charlie Brooks and Rev. Danny Hamrick officiating. Burial held in the Eternal Hills Memorial Park.
