She was a pet lover, particularly her dogs, from Roney, when she was a little girl, to Sam, the last in a long line of faithful companions. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church, where she played piano and taught Sunday School.

She is survived by her son, Dan A. Harrington, Jr. (Elinor Moseley) of Pawleys Island, SC and her daughter, Debra DeHaven (Conrad) of Charlottesville, VA, and her faithful cocker spaniel, Sam. She was predeceased by her husband, William R. Huntley.
