Billy Flynn Bridges age 78 of Rutherfordton passed away Saturday.
Services were held at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel. He was a native of Rutherford County, a retired civil engineer in the ship building industry and was the manager of Bill’s Creek Convenience Center.
Surviving are his wife Margaret “Peggy” Thornton Bridges; sons Morgan Bridges of Rutherfordton and Mark Bridges of New Port News, VA.; daughter Tressa Corbett of Hampton, VA.; brother Bob Bridges of Rutherfordton; step son John Stalling of Fayettville, NC and step daughter Stacy Froyen of Yorktown, VA.
He was preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Corene Flynn Bridges.
Memorials may be made to the Grace of God Rescue Mission.
