Billy Gene Marsh, Sr., age 84

Billy Gene Marsh, Sr., age 84, of Lincolnton, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018.

Billy was born March 13, 1934, in Rutherford County, to the late Reidus Gustus Marsh and Emma Biggerstaff Marsh. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a grandson. Bill worked as an automobile mechanic.

He is survived by his wife, Karlette Coffey Marsh of the home; a son, Billy G. Marsh, Jr., and wife Stephanie, of Lincolnton; three daughters, Sharon M. Sain, Annabet M. Hager, and husband Dennis of Oak Island, NC, and Karla Marsh, and husband Phillip Southern, of Charlotte; a brother, Reid Marsh of Montana; a sister, Kay M. Hawkins of Michigan; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

His funeral service was held at River View Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
