Billy J. Martin, age 79

Billy J. Martin, age 79, of Forest City, passed away, Wednesday, September 25, 2019.

Billy was born March 4, 1940 in Rutherford County, to the late Jack Gosey and Laura Mae Martin Gosey.

Billy worked as a Machine Operator for Ecusta-Olin Paper Plant for many years. He loved gardening, cooking out, watching football and racing, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Anne Galloway Martin and one sister, Shirley Martin.

Those left to cherish his memory include two daughters; Lisa Martin of Forest City and Michele Kiser of Gastonia. A grandson also survives him.

No formal services are planned at this time.
