Billy Oscar Goode, 79, of Mooresboro, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2012. A native of Rutherford County, he was born on June 25, 1932, a son of the late John V. and Lillie Mae Nanney Goode. He was a retired Auctioneer. He was also a United States Navy Veteran and a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Glenn Goode. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Lovelace Goode; one son, Larry Goode and wife Mary of Forest City; one step-daughter, Brenda Gosnell of Ellenboro; three grandchildren, Jason Goode, Cindy Goode, and Jessica Goode; three step-grandchildren, Wesley McCraw, Mark McCraw, and Chad Gosnell.
Funeral services were held at the A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel at McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hospice House of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
