Bobbie Smith Cook, age 83

Bobbie Smith Cook, age 83, of Rutherfordton, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014. 

A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Horace Lee and Mary Jane Rogers Smith. Bobbie was a retired operator for Bell South and a member of First United Methodist Church of Rutherfordton.

She is survived by a niece, Pam Hutchins and husband Ronald of Rutherfordton; sister Kittie Henderson of Lehigh Acres,FL; granddaughter Victoria McKee of FL; two great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Cook, son, Marty McKee, sister, Flossie Callahan, and brothers, Horace Dupree Smith and James Clarence (JC) Smith.

Memorial services will be announced later.
