Brenda Cordell, age 68

Brenda Cordell, age 68, of Rutherfordton, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019.

Brenda was born June 13, 1950 in Spartanburg County, SC, to the late Carrell Hood. She was a graduate of Chesnee High School, class of 1968 and owned and operated Cordell Sales in Sandy Mush for many years. Brenda also worked as a seamstress for Tanners for ten years and was a vendor at area flea markets for over fifteen years. She was a member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church and enjoyed going to yard sales. Brenda was a caregiver to her late husband and loved her family dearly.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-five years, Wayne Cordell.

Those left to cherish her memory include three daughters, Lisa Parker (Joe) of Bostic, Sharon Cordell of Shiloh and Laura Hillman (Richard) of Ellenboro. She is also survived by five grandchildren.

The funeral service was conducted at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
