Brenda Parker Edwards, age 61

Brenda Parker Edwards, age 61, of Ellenboro, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015.

Born July 4, 1954 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Jack Parker and Bertha Crawford Parker. She worked in textiles for many years and attended Harris First Baptist Church. Brenda loved helping others.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Clyde and Tom Parker; two sisters, Betty Pierce and Cathy Church.

Survivors include her husband, Steve Edwards; daughter, Stephanie Blair and husband, Curtis of Ellenboro; step-daughter, Ashley Blair of Laurens, SC; three brothers, David Parker, Ronnie Parker and Willard Parker all of Rutherfordton; two sisters, Judy Biggerstaff of Sandy Mush and Patsy McFalls of Kings Mountain. She is also survived by two step-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend George Whitmire officiating. Interment followed in Eternal Hills Memorial Park.
