Brenda Robertson Thompson, age 69

Brenda Robertson Thompson, age 69, of Marion, beloved mother, nana, daughter, sister and friend, passed away on July 6, 2014. 

She was the daughter of the late Rev. Fred Logan Robertson & Geneva Gosnell Robertson of Rutherfordton.  

In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her husband George E. Thompson II and a brother Norman Roberson. 

Left to cherish her memory in addition to her mother are her granddaughter Rebecca Marie Hollifield and husband Josh and great grandson Dawson; a daughter Lori Christine Kennedy, son Robbie Camp and wife Carla, also a granddaughter Sarah Keeter all of Rutherfordton and one sister Christine Roderstorf and husband Dave of Georgia as well as 7 nieces and nephews and 3 beloved English mastiffs Saul, Tinkerbell and Gideon. 

Brenda was a beautician at the facility known today as Willow Ridge for 34 years. She and her husband George ran an over comer ministry for recovering addicts for 20 years. 

Memorials may be made to Grace of God Rescue Mission or flowers sent to Victory Temple Baptist Full Gospel Church in Nebo, NC.

Funeral services were held at Victory Temple Baptist Full Gospel Church 7987 Hwy 226 Nebo, N.C., with the Rev. Johnny “Pete” McCombs officiating.
