Bunie Allen Boheler, age 74

Bunie Allen Boheler, age 74, of Bostic, NC, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013.

Born May 2, 1939 in Rutherford County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Johnnie Hugh Allen and Annie Lee Biggerstaff Allen. Bunie worked in the textile industry for over thirty years and as a caregiver for local nursing homes and home health care.  She was a longtime member of Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church and enjoyed gardening, cooking, raising animals and especially loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Thurman Allen and Ronnie Allen; three sisters, Mary Ann Ledbetter, Barbara Jo Mauney, Edith Hoppes and great-granddaughter, Hayleigh Vance.

Survivors include two daughters, Lois Vance and husband, Keith and Molly Greene and husband, Roy all of Rutherfordton; four sons, Carl Ledbetter and wife, Julie of Rutherfordton, Jamie Boheler and wife, Brenda of Lattimore, Danny Boheler also of Lattimore and Hubert Dean Boheler of Bostic; two sisters, Vangie Ledbetter and Pauline Lankford both of Shelby; three brothers, Hugh Lee Allen and wife, Tammy of Kings Mountain, Charles Allen and wife, Barbara of Shelby and Paul Allen of Gaffney. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at the Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church.  Interment followed in the church cemetery.  

Memorial donations are suggested to Harrelson Funeral Home, 1251 US Highway 221A, Forest City, NC 28043 to help defray funeral costs.

Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.
