CARL EUGENE JOHNSON “GENE”

Carl Eugene Johnson “Gene”, age 76, of Rutherfordton, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014. 

A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Luther and Winnie Lou Arrowood Johnson. Gene was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and a retired textile supervisor.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Carla Camp & husband Robbie of Rutherfordton; sons, Tom Johnson of Rutherfordton, Dustin Johnson & wife Tammy of Forest City, Danny Johnson & wife Karen of Forest City; grandchildren Brandon, Tommy & Nicole Johnson, Felicia Gibson & husband Derrick, & Brandon Gowan; great grandchildren Jace Gowan, Dakota, Benjamin & Joshua Jordan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Janet Johnson.

Funeral services were held at Crowe’s Mortuary with Rev. Kevin Rohm, Rev. Terry White and Rev. Tom Runyan officiating. Interment followed in the Fellowship Baptist Church cemetery.

Crowe’s Mortuary is serving the family.
