Carol Lowery Morrison, age 63

Carol Lowery Morrison, age 63, of Shelby, NC, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016.

Born March 21, 1953 in McDowell County, she was a daughter to the late James Francis Lowery and Charlotte Laura Buchanan Lowery. Carol was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1971 and of Cleveland Community College, class of 1988. She was a homemaker and worked in retail sales for many years and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church of Earl. She enjoyed many types of craftwork, which included sewing, painting and quilting.

Survivors include her husband of thirty-three years, Marvin E. Morrison; three sons, Steve Ray Greene and wife, Kathy and Jeffrey Francis Greene and wife, Leslie all of Bostic and Brian Morrison and wife, Sharon of Shelby; one sister, Jane Jenkins of Mooresboro and brother, James Francis Lowery, Jr. and wife Janet of Harris. She is also survived by six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were conducted at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Russ Bradley officiating.
