Carolyn Davis Crawley, age 78

Carolyn Davis Crawley, age 78, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016.

Carolyn was born April 25, 1938 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Virgil and Lenora Ledford Davis. She retired from the executive office at Reeves Brothers in Rutherfordton.

Carolyn was a graduate of Ellenboro High School, a member of Concord Baptist Church and was formerly active in the Order of The Eastern Star Chapter in Cliffside. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hansel C. Crawley, her brother, Clarence "Ed" Davis, and sisters-in-law, Marjorie Davis and Margie Davis.

Survivors include two brothers, J. D. Davis of Ellenboro, Steve Davis and wife Wanda of Forest City, a sister, Elizabeth D. Evans of Ellenboro as well as a number of nieces and nephews that she adored.

The funeral service was held at the Concord Baptist Church with Reverend Travis Laflin and Reverend Billy Carlisle officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Concord Baptist Church, PO Box 70, Bostic, NC 28018.
