Carolyn Greene Gosey, age 81

Carolyn Greene Gosey, age 81, of Mooresboro, passed away Monday, July 18, 2016.

Born on Friday, November 30, 1934 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter to the late Thomas Franklin Greene and Rosa Cleola White Greene. Carolyn was a graduate of Cliffside High School, class of 1952 and a member of Goodes Creek Baptist Church. She worked for Cone Mills-Cliffside Plant and Alpha Plastics for several years. Carolyn enjoyed travelling to the beach and to the mountains. She also enjoyed listening to Country Music.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Gosey; brother, Bobby Joe Greene and sister, Alice Faye Norman.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Gosey and Tammy Melton and husband, Terry all of Mooresboro; son, Wally Gosey of Rutherfordton; two sisters, Eloise Blanton of Mooresboro and Bonita Ashe of Kings Mountain and brother-in-law, Frank Norman of Henrietta. She is also survived by four grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Chad Hayes officiating. Interment followed in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
