Carson Lee McKinney, 70

Carson Lee McKinney, 70, of Ellenboro, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015.

A native of McDowell County, he was the son of the late Earl Carson McKinney and Dorothy Rhom Arrowood. Carson was retired from the furniture industry and attended Macedonia Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Betty Hartman McKinney; daughters Billie Thurman and husband Lee of Ellenboro and Dorothy Ann McKinney Gladden and fiancé Glen Bumgarner of Valdese; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sisters Lois Baker of Lexington, NC and Freddie Ann Conner of Union Mills. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step father, W.J. Arrowood.

Funeral services were held at Crowe’s Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.

Crowe’s Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family.
