Catherine Story Crowder, age 81

Catherine Story Crowder, age 81, of Forest City, NC, went home to be with her Lord, February 8, 2015.

She was the daughter of the late Ina Newman Story and the late Alfred Charles Story.

Catherine is survived by her beloved husband William Ray Crowder, Sr., daughter, Vickie Crowder Winebarger and her husband Reverend Bobby Dale Winebarger of Candler, NC, sons, William Ray Crowder, Jr. and his wife Susan Arrowood Crowder of Bostic, NC, and Alfred Paul Crowder and his wife Kathy Street Crowder of Ellenboro, NC. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by one brother and one sister and is survived by three sisters and four brothers.

Catherine retired from Doncaster Tanner and was a former employee of Oh! Susannah.

Funeral services were held in the Smith Grove Baptist Church with the Reverend Terry White and Reverend Bob Philbeck officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
