Cella Price Leach, 90

Cella Price Leach, 90, of Mooresboro, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2014. 

A native of Cherokee County, South Carolina, she was born on Saturday, May 19, 1923, a daughter of the late Crowder and Sally Thrift Price. She was a homemaker and member of Hicks Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Artice Leach. She is survived by her sons, Willard Leach and wife Joann of Mooresboro and Steve Leach and wife Gail of Cliffside; three daughters, Shirley Deviney and husband Tom of Forest City, Carolyn McDaniel and companion James of Shiloh, and Dawn Parris and husband Robin of Mooresboro; 12 grandchildren, including one special grandson, Jamie McDaniel who she raised in the home; 16 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; her caregiver and friend, Paulette Burleson.

A Celebration of Mrs. Leach’s Life was held at Hick’s Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Don McEntire and Rev. Ad Hopper officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
