On Thursday, July 8th, Bed & Barn Farms hosted a Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours at their farm and bed and breakfast location at 661 Big Island Road, Forest City.

Owner Tammy Martell hosted a barbeque, horseback rides, hay rides, trail tours, and silent auction in her facility that can house both horses and their owners.

Bed & Barn Farms is a unique concept for travelers with horses.  This brand new facility can accommodate both horses and their owners. This saves the owners several hours of time by having their boarding for horses and themselves in the same location. So instead of having to take the horses out of the trailer, exercise them, wash them down and put them to bed, and THEN travel to a separate place for themselves to stay, people traveling with horses can now relax in a first class two bedroom apartment, while their horses can relax in stables on 30 acres.

Rick Austin, Executive Director of the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce said “What a great idea for a bed & breakfast facility.  It is a unique concept that is great for the county.  We are so glad to have this here in Rutherford County.”
