Charles Broughton Bostic, 89, a resident of Magnolia’s at Gaffney Assisted Living Center, Gaffney, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2012. 

A native of Cleveland County, he was born on February, 02, 1923, a son of the late Chivous Lee and Beulah Holland Bostic. He retired as a Supervisor from Duke Energy. He was also a United States Army Veteran having served in WWII. During his service, he was a P.O.W. and also served under General Patton. Mr. Bostic was also a member of Lake Wateree Baptist Church, Ridgeway, SC.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Walter Bostic. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Aileen Osment Bostic; one sister, Catherine Bostic Harris of Ellenboro; two sisters-in-law, Lois Stallings Bostic and Geraldine Osment Turner; two nephews and six nieces.

Funeral services were held at the A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Ron Gregory officiating. Burial followed at Cleveland Memorial Park with Military Honors accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
