Charles "Charlie" Edward Humphries, 76

Charles "Charlie" Edward Humphries, 76, of Cherryville, passed away with his wife Loretta of 38 years by his side.

Born May 8, 1942 in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late T.O. and Rosie Humphries. Charlie was the retired owner and operator of Humphries Auto Sales. He also served in the US Air Force and a member of Anthony Grove Baptist Church, Cherryville, NC.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Wendy Greene, five brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta Humphries; children, Adele McCracken (David) of Lawndale, NC; John Greene (Lora) of Lawndale, NC; Chad Humphries, Greg Kinney (Lynn) and Nikkie Reulecke (Austin) of Boiling Springs, NC; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Garland Humphries (Jean) of Shelby, NC and Scott Humphries of Shelby, NC; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service was held with Pastor Allen Davis officiating, followed by a Full Military Honors service at Robert Morgan Funeral and Cremation Service, LLC,
