Charles Edgar Bridges Jr., 86

Charles Edgar Bridges Jr., 86, of Forest City, passed away on November 2, 2019.

Charles was the son of the late Charles Edgar Bridges, Sr. and Linnie Robertson Bridges, and the husband to the late Rev. Frances Hall Bridges. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Kathy (Billy) Hutchins, and son, Mike (Billie Jo) Bridges; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; siblings Colleen Hall, Jean Cook, Garland Bridges, and Dean Bridges. In addition to his parents and wife, Charles was preceded in death by his son, Tony Bridges, and his siblings Leroy Bridges, Gladys Gosnell, James Bridges, Mildred Terry, Betty Kirby, Fred Bridges, and Nell Johnson.

Charles was a member of New Covenant Church of God in Ellenboro. He loved to fish, watch NASCAR, and football. He retired from a career as a long haul truck driver and loved spending time with his family and his two dogs, Bruiser and Scooter. He also served in the Army National Guard.

Services were held at Crowe's Funeral Chapel. Burial followed at Spindale City Cemetery.
