Charles James Gervason, 94, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2017.
A native of Canton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Louis and Emma Harwood Gervason. He was a WWI veteran who served in the USAAF Air Corp.
He was a retired Aerospace Engineer for the Kennedy Space Center. He taught at Chase High School and East Rutherford High School as part of the Mechanical Drafting and Design curriculum offered through Isothermal Community College Vocational and Technical Division and a member of First United Methodist Church, Rutherfordton.
He is survived by his daughters, Pamela Aiello and husband Tracy of Rochester, NY, Patricia Gervason of Durham, and Jahanna Tafari of Palo Alto, CA; three grandchildren; one great grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Isabel Flores Gervason.
Service was held in the Family Life Center of First United Methodist Church, Rutherfordton. Interment followed in the memorial garden.
