Funeral services were conducted at the Broad River Baptist Church.
Charles was born July 25, 1940 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Miller Taylor and Thelma Laughter. He worked for Cone Mills as a Loom Technician for over 47 years and was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR and St. Louis Cardinals baseball. He was known for helping others and his love for the Lord.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Brandon Lowery.
Besides his mother he is survived by two daughters, Diana Taylor of Rutherfordton and Marie Craig and husband, Wayne of Forest City; one son, Charles Leslie Taylor of Forest City; one brother, Robert Taylor and wife, Audrey of Forest City; three sisters, Sharon Robinson and husband, Pete of Ellenboro, Cathy Taylor of Union Mills and Susie Taylor of Spindale. He is also survived by three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; eight nieces.
