Charles "PawPaw" Robert Riley, age 47, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 22, 2017.

Born April 24, 1969 in Aiken County, SC, he was a son to the late William David Riley, Sr. and Beatrice Ann Ackerman Riley. Charles was a cabinetmaker for many years and most recently worked for Blue Ridge Cabinets in Forest City. Charles loved coaching softball/baseball, which he did for twenty-years. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and racing and especially loved spending time with his family, kids/grandkids and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Mary Foltz, Gertrude Riley, Theodore Riley and Gene Ackerman.

Those left to cherish his memory include three children, Nola Dawn Riley, Ashley Nicole Terry and husband, B.J. all of Ellenboro and Charles Brandon Riley and wife, Alexis of Harris; six grandchildren; four brothers, William David Riley Jr. and Christopher Allen Riley both of Florida, Thomas Lee Riley of Forest City and William Michael Riley of Chesnee; one sister, Tammy Elizabeth Jones of Forest City. He is also survived by life-long companion/soul mate, Reva Joyce Gonzalez and the mother of his children, Trena Lee Riley of Ellenboro; step-father, Andrew Hart of Ellenboro and step-mother, Eleanor Riley of Forest City.

A gathering of family and friends was held at Harrelson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are respectively requested to Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services, 1251 U.S. Highway 221A, Forest City, NC 28043 to help defray funeral costs.

Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
