Charles Ray Goforth, age 84

Charles Ray Goforth, age 84, of Bostic went to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 18, 2017.

He was the son of the late Guy and Geneva Spake Goforth and a native of Rutherford County. Ray was a veteran of U S Army and a business owner. He was a member of Sandy Level Baptist Church. He was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed working his small hobby farm, especially his chickens. He was first married to the late Winnie Pope Goforth for 55 years.

He is survived by his wife of 7 years; Marilyn K. Goforth. Two daughters: Pat Hollifield and her husband Roy. Jackie Champion and her husband Steve. One son: Rod Goforth and his wife Bonnie. Step-daughter: Renee Park and her husband Joe. Five Brothers: John P Goforth and his wife Lois. Hicks Goforth and his wife Betty. Donald Goforth. Vaughn Goforth and his wife Cynthia. Wayne Goforth. Five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by his precious fur baby dog; Candy Renee Goforth who he loved for 12 years.

Funeral service was held at Sandy Level Baptist Church with Reverend Robert Hensley officiating. Interment held at Sandy Level Baptist Church Cemetery, Bostic.
